The KTM RC 125 bears a sporty look coupled with it’s unique attractive colors, this bike will definitely never miss an eye ball. The bike has been designed to make sure you get more grip with a better leaning angle. A casing engulfing the twin headlights reminds you of the older sports bikes.
The RC 125 has smartly positioned the side indicators on the arms of the rear view mirrors, keeping the aerodynamic perspective in mind. A purely naked rear just makes you want to fall for it. The tail lights is a mix of Pulsar and Yamaha’s trademark designs.
An electronic fuel injected single cylinder engine with 4 valves boosts the engine performance enabling it to deliver 15 bhp of power. A 12v 6 Ah battery ensures that all the electrical parts are fully functional. The DOHC coupled with the electronic fuel injected system helps improvising the mileage of the bike.
The KTM sports bike is available with ABS but you are also provided an option to disable this safety feature giving this a heads up for people planning on stunting with this bike. The brembo brakes (which may not be available in the Indian version, may get the Bybre ones in India) give excellent response to all possible situations.
Front 300 mm disc houses a four pot caliper while the rear 250 mm disc houses a single pot caliper. This braking system may have some alternations in the Indian version, if this bike ever gets to see the Indian roads.
An alloy swing arm coupled with mono suspension will definitely ensure a smooth ride. A High quality inverted telescopic fork in the front, with an outer dia of 48mm indicates that parts have been picked up from the real raced sports bike the RC8 R.
All thanks to the spider web like frame the RC 125 has been kept under watch in terms of weight. Plus the shortened wheel base coupled with the high ground clearance gives the rider a pure racing feel. The perfectly aligned exhaust too plays a major role in distributing the weight uniformly.
Well we have spotted several of these bikes in the Chakan Plant in Pune but majority of these bikes are being exported from here. Let’s hope that this bike will be soon launched in the Indian Market. But don’t have your hopes high because even if this sport bike is launched it will definitely cut your pockets deep.
