Xiaomi Redmi Note finally has a decent competitor for the race to quiver the smartphone world. Huawei doing the honors by stocking it’s arsenal with a mighty competitive smartphone code named the Honor 4X.
- 64 bit Snapdragon 410 processor
- Wide viewing angle front facing camera (88 degrees)
- 4G Dual sim connectivity
- HD Display not a Full HD one
With a thickness of 8.7mm and weighing just 170gms the Huawei Honor 4X seems to be a strong contender on paper. The device is quiet glossy on the front side with the screen being quite reflective. The 5.5 inched huawei smartphone has curved edges and on the rear removable panel which is of a decent build and has the word “Honor” engraved on it.
64 Bit Snapdragon Qualcomm 410 clocking at 1.2Ghz with 2GB of RAM is backed up with the Mali-450 GPU. 8GB of internal storage out of which approximately only 4GB is available to the end user. Stocked up with dual sim capabilities the phone supports the much faster 4G network connectivity. 3,000mAh battery claims to last for 72 hours of continuous 2G use.
5.5 inch display is just a HD one with a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels. The screen has been finished with a reflective glossy look, named black water fall, IPS Laminated display. The pixel density has not been mentioned officially but it is expected to be around 267 ppi. The viewing angles are great but it’s reflective natured coating makes it difficult at times to view at sharp angles.
The rear camera sensor captures images at a resolution of 13MP while the front camera is a Samsung/OV 5MP one which views and a greater angle of about 88 degrees, making it easy to capture a bunch of friends seamlessly. It records Full HD videos and has also been provided with LED flash. Even though it’s stocked with such high resolution lenses the images are not something that you would boast about, but they pretty decent.
The Huawei Honor 4X seems to be quiet an impressive package considering the price bracket at which it is going to be launched. 30th March is the date you looking for, because that’s when flipkart exclusively will launch the 4X.
Competitors to this device with a similar price range are the Moto G2, Xiaomi Redmi Note and the Micromax Yu Yureka. The Moto G2 is known for it’s quality, user interface as well clockwork time on software updates. The Redmi Note has almost the same config on paper just as the moto g2, but it has better camera performance. So if camera and great battery is your concern go for the Redmi Note, but if a better screen and upgraded hardware is a concern we’d recommend you to go for the Honor 4x.
Micromax Yu Yureka has some reliability issues with a bunch load of complaints which is majorly directed to software issues once that get resolved Yu Yureka will not be far away from the list. The Honor 4X is priced at 10,499 Indian Rupees and is exclusively sold on flipkart. Another thumbs up is this is a dual sim device with both capable of connecting to the upcoming 4G connectivity option.
