Lenovo once again making bold staggering moves to ensure it’s survival in the brutal smartphone market. After taking over Motorola from Google, Lenovo this time around tries to challenge a dragon, Xiaomi by taming the Lenovo K3 Music Lemon.
What’s Maniac ??
- 64 bit 1.2Ghz Quad Core Snapdragon 410
- Waves Maxx Audio
- 4G (LTE) Connectivity
What’s Not ??
- Nothing so far
The Lenovo Smartphone has the volume rockers as well as the power button on the right side. On the rear top left corner you have the 8 MP camera along with the flash with a round finish. Moving a bit lower you have two Wave MaxxAudio Speakers, one on the left the other on the right. The left side is plain, while the top side has the micro USB port along with the 3.5mm jack. On the side of the display you have three capacitive touch buttons on the lower edge, no clue whether they back lit as of yet.
With a resolution of 1280 by 720, the 5 inch IPS Display has a whopping pixel density of 294 pixels per inch(ppi) which is quiet decent considering the price at which the Lenovo K3 is being launched at. Users of the the Redmi 1s have been complaining that the display is not that bright and vivid and also has a slight yellowish tinge to it, hope the K3 will have a better display than this.
64 bit 1.2Ghz Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor coupled with the Adreno 306 GPU. 16GB of internal storage which is expandable with the help of a microSD memory card. The 1 GB RAM sounds decent enough with android 4.4 running behind it, expected lollipop update. The plus point it’s a dual sim phone with LTE connectivity, which means running a 4G sim card will not be an issue. 2300 mAh of juice claims 72 hours of standby.
8MP sensor on the rear along with flash. The front camera is a 2MP one. Hope this one will be at least at par if not superior in quality compared to the Xiaomi Redmi 1s.
The Xiaomi Redmi Series which includes the Note as well as 1s has swept the ground under the feet of majority flagships. To counter such a bold move Lenovo seeks to pick itself out of the grave and etch it’s way to success. So far this is the only viable competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi 1s. So far this seems to be available only in one color, bright yellow, for some it might be an attractive bumblebee color while others may repent this color option.
The Lenovo K3 is expected to launch within the 6,000 INR price bracket, since lenovo has already collaborated with jd in China for exclusive online sales, here in India too it’s most likely going to be Flipkart who will do the selling. Let’s hope the Indian version comes with 4G connectivity.
