Lenovo has a strong hold of customers in the laptop segment and now aims at targeting the smartphone arena. By gradually coming up with newer phones they are gradually getting hold of it. Lenovo Vibe X2 is what we will be looking into today.
- Strong Processor
- Bright HD display
- Decent Camera
- Motor Sound of auto focus while recording videos
- No micro SD slot
Lenovo has thought out of the box and have come up with a new design termed as layered phones. The Lenovo Smartphone has three colored layers of magnesium which definitely catches the eye, this will be available in three different vibrant colors. You get a good strong solid vibe from this smartphone, with thickness of 7.3mm and a weight of 120gms, the design is unique but impressive. The phone is a rectangular box with edges blunt out a bit so that you don’t hurt yourself.

The Vibe X2 seems to extract maximum display size, with the boundaries trimmed to a minimum. The IPS based 5 inch display manages to project 1920 by 1080 resolutions. With almost minimum color saturation at acute viewing angles, the display gives great sharpness and is well back lit making it visible even under sunlight. Screen is protected by a layer of Gorilla glass 3.
32 Gigs of internal storage which cannot be expanded with the help of an microSD card but 32 Gigs may be far more sufficient for most user (Note – Out of 32 GB only 25 GB is available to end user). 2 GHz octa core mediatek processor along with 2GB of RAM and the graphics managed by Power VR G6200 GPU. This whole package is backed by an 2300 mAh battery which may manage to last a day under mediocre usage. The plus point is this a dual sim smartphone (one a micro sim and the other a nano sim) and also supports 4G internet speeds. Lenovo trying to make sure you stick with their device for quiet sometime in the near future.
13MP rear camera with an LED flash and 5 MP front facing camera for selfies is sufficient enough. But even with such power packed lenses the X2 has not been able to extract maximum from it. Focusing is an issue, and during video playback there are complains of motor sounds of the auto focus spoiling videos. Lets hope that’s a temporary issue and can be fixed with the next update.
Overall the Lenovo Vibe X2 seems to be a decent package, even though there are quiet a few downfalls to this device, considering the price bracket we feel it may be worth it. Without lollipop creating a hype hope this device comes with the Android 5.0 Version but as on now it runs on the Kitkat version 4.4.2. The smartphone comes with a screen guard and also a transparent phone case making sure that all it’s color are visible even after full protection.
