The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact, is a much more compact version of the Xperia Z1 but this is only in terms of dimensions mainly. Sony has been able to retain almost every hardcore hardware specification that it could from it’s predecessor.
Because of this mid range smartphone contenders like the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini and HTC One Mini seem to have lost their seniority.
The device looks similar to the Z1 just that it is a compressed version of the Z1 as stated earlier. To the right side lies the power button, volume rocker and the camera button. 3.5 mm jack on the top.
The Xperia Z1 Compact has been made with combination of glass and aluminum which makes this device weigh a mere 137gms and is just 9.5mm thick, with speakers mounted on the bottom side.
4.3 inches 720p which has the trademark X-reality technology by Sony incorporated which makes this device have great viewing angles without saturation.
Even though this Sony smartphone 720p display, astonishingly manages to be in the top five devices present in the market as of now. The display is close to perfect as there are indications of pixelation on the display.
2.2GHz Qualcomm quad core processor which is run along with 2GB of RAM makes this smartphone user interface feel as smooth as butter. And unlike few of it’s previous devices, this one does have a microSD slot for additional storage.
16GB of internal storage along with wireless transfer hardware which includes Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. Battery capacity of 2,300mAh which seems to do pretty well.
Whopping 20.7 mega pixel G lens mounted on this gadget, which Sony has been famous for, along with a LED flash, EXMOR RS and BIONZ image processing. Front camera is a 2.1MP one. During low lighting conditions you may end up noticing that the 20MP camera seems to pixelate.
With a heavy price tag of 36,990 Indian rupees, this device may seem to be pretty expensive compared to its competitors. This device is not a Full HD smartphone but is a water proof and a dust proof one. For some it may sound cool while the others will seem to opt for alternate’s cause of being 720p and not 1080p. The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact may soon have to slash off their price, to stand as a strong contender.
