Xiaomi Mi4 is the next smartphone that is expected to hit the Indian markets. This phone has undoubtedly extremely high end specs, but the thing to look out for is the price at which Xiaomi plans on selling these.
- Good Design
- Great Camera
- Quick processor
- No MicroSD Slot
- Available only on online stores
The Xiaomi Mi4 purveys a premium feel to it, well this is ofcourse considering the price at which it is being sold at. The build quality is also decent and sturdy, you have the power button on the right side of the phone. Above this you will find the volume rockers.
On the other side of the Xiaomi smartphone you will see the microSD sim slot. Compared to the Mi3, Xiaomi has further compacted the phone even though it weighs 153gms which is hardly 4 grams more than the Mi3.
A Full HD 1080p 5 inch display but a drawback is that it does not have any screen protection layers like the gorilla glass or dragontrail. So you better shell out some to get a screen protector in place as soon as you purchase one.
The brightness may be on the lower side making it slightly difficult to read under sunlight. With a pixel density of 441 ppi this matches the Google Nexus 5 which means that the display is bound to deliver vibrant and crisp images along with that the Mi4 Smartphone has great viewing angles.
This is where Xiaomi has been gaining attention all this will. Providing high end specs processors at affordable prices. The Xiaomi Mi4 runs on 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset coupled with 3 gigs of RAM, it stocks the Adreno 330 GPU.
Coming to the storage this Xiaomi Smartphone may come in two variants 16Gb and the 64GB. The major drawback will be is that no external memory card can be inserted. It is expected to pack itself with an 3080mAh battery back to help give it superior battery life.
The Camera is what is surprising in the Xiaomi devices, it captures images and videos exceptionally well. The 13MP rear camera can record 1080p videos at 30fps. The front 8MP camera claims to capture 1080p videos as well.
The lens incorporated in this device is by Sony which is similar to the one used in the One Plus One. Which means it also may be capable of capturing 4K videos.
After achieving great response to the Mi3, Redmi 1s and the Redmi Note, it’s time to see how this outperforms the high end smartphones. The Mi4 should be released under the 25k Indian Rupees Mark to make it competitive enough. In India it is to be sold by FlipKart mostly
With specs superior to the Moto X(2nd Gen) which is sold at 32k Indian Rupees, the Mi4 has more superior chance of toppling the Motorola flagship. Before purchasing this you may also want to have a look at the One Plus One line which runs on the Cyanogen Mod.
